A briolette is an elongated, teardrop-shaped diamond faceted all the way around, usually drilled through the top so it can hang. That shape catches light from every angle, which makes briolettes a favorite for drop earrings and pendants. We carry them faceted and in natural rough form, both drilled and side-drilled.

Raw or rough beads keep the diamond's natural, uncut surface for an earthy look; faceted beads have small cut faces that add sparkle; and briolettes are teardrop drops faceted all around. We offer both drilled and undrilled beads. Drilled holes are usually small — often around 0.4mm to 0.5mm — so fine beading wire or a thin headpin (roughly 26 to 28 gauge) works best, and we also carry large-hole beads with holes around 1mm and up for easier stringing. Briolettes are typically top- or side-drilled so they hang as a drop.

It varies by product. Many beads are sold as strands in 4-inch, 8-inch and 16-inch lengths, briolettes and matched pairs are often sold by the piece, and some listings are priced by carat weight (CTW). Each product page states the size range, length and quantity so you know exactly what you are getting.

They are made for jewelry making. String them on beading wire or thread, wire-wrap them, or hang a briolette from a jump ring or headpin into earrings, necklaces and bracelets. For drilled briolettes you can simply add a wire loop and attach to a chain — chain it and wear it.

Natural diamond beads come in white, grey, black, yellow, red, blue, cognac brown and ombre blends, in sizes from roughly 1mm up to 13mm depending on the style. Colors and shading vary naturally from stone to stone, which is part of their charm.
